How to install xfree86 on kernel 2.6.8 for i810 video chipset ??? Please help mi. Here is a Message :

You can probably reduce your entire problem to this single line from your post:

Sick of windows so I order Debian, not exactly sure what I was getting into, so, I'm newb to debian so I wont pretend to know where to start on solving this problem.

I installed following this hand holding procedure at http://www.osnews.com/story.php?news_id=2016&page=1

I am as far as installing xwindow server and attempting to start it(as root) when it flashes out with these messages on screen:

(--) Assigning device section with no busID to primary device
(EE) No devices detected

Fatal server error:
no screens found

....

X connection to :0.0 broken (explicit kill or server shutdown).

I have only used linux twice before and they were 1, Caldera Desktop 2.4(short lived as of lack of hardware support) and Trusitx as a headless, non-GUI server.
