KVM's and Debian

#1 Post by pegasus45 »

I have found that Debian does not recognize a mouse when a KVM swtich is used. If I plug a mouse straight into the ps/2 port, it works, but from the KVM to the ps/2 port - no mouse. I have tested my KVM using redhat and windows and the mouse from the KVM works fine.

Am I missing something, or does Debian and a slight flaw that prevents it from using a KVM? Would be unfortunate if so...

I had the same problem with a KVM that didn't use a power supply. Then I switched to one that did and it fixed it...:)
