I have wireless for a short time now and I decided to install a wireless card in my debian machine. First I hoped for the prism54 drivers but it seems I have a rev2 of my card that is not supported (why don't they put that on the box )
Now I try to use ndiswrapper. It builds ok from CVS and make install also works good enough, but when I try to insert the module:
> modprobe ndiswrapper
FATAL: Error inserting ndiswrapper (/lib/modules/2.6.8-1-k7/misc/ndiswrapper.ko): Ivalid module format
I followed all instructions and tried to get no version mismatches of the kernel source by installing the 2.6.8 kernel source and copying /boot/config-2.6.8-1-k7 to the kernel source directory, use it for make oldconfig and make prepare.
