I am having trouble with my laptop's touchpad. When I start certain programs it will stop working completely. Lately this has been happening whenever I start eclipse or gkrellm.
Googling for a bit found nothing but a possible fix by setting SHMConfig off in xorg.conf, but I tried that and the touchpad died again when I started gkrellm.
Any ideas?, I am currently running Debian Testing.

touchpad set up on lappy
Best thing is to go to http://www.linux-laptop.net/ and look for debian on your lappy model. There are many installs that include how to correctly setup the touchpad with or w/o 2nd mouse. Many include kernel config and XF86Config-4 files too. Tuxmobile site also keeps similar list. Good luck.
