Touchpad looses synchronisation

Postby 4nndee » 2011-03-08 14:17

Hello,

I'm having some issues with (I assume) my touchpad. If I do not move the mouse or press any keys, my laptop gets stuck after a few seconds. Downloads will halt and sometimes the wireless network connection gets lost. If I press a key or move the mouse, it comes back to life and I get those error messages. If my audio player is playing some music or I watch a movie, the system does not get stuck even if I do not touch anything.

Sometimes it comes alone:
Code: Select all
psmouse.c: Touchpad at isa0060/serio1/input0 lost synchronization, throwing 1 bytes away.
psmouse.c: resync failed, issuing reconnect request

And the other time it comes together with a wifi microcode sw error:
Code: Select all
[ 8693.845129] iwlagn 0000:0c:00.0: Microcode SW error detected.  Restarting 0x82000000.
[ 8693.848010] psmouse.c: Touchpad at isa0060/serio1/input0 lost synchronization, throwing 1 bytes away.
