I am a hacker rather than a developer, new to git and linux.
I would like to try making some small changes (hacks, lol) to xfdesktop4 (4.10.2-3). I see that I can download the source code from the package page, but I would not be able to upload / suggest that the hacks be used if they work. Is there a way to clone this with git and use github, sourceforge, etc. to discuss hacks to it?
If you care, I am specifically wanting to try to change the root menu that pops up on right clicking the desktop.
Thank you.

That only changes the "applications menu". Changing the root menu, requires changing the code.Head_on_a_Stick wrote:https://wiki.xfce.org/howto/customize-menuless-static wrote:I am specifically wanting to try to change the root menu that pops up on right clicking the desktop.
