I have freeglut installed, and was wondering what you have to do to use the libraries. I guess you have to link to them? And if that's the case how do you do it with g++?

The command line option to link with a library is -l<libname>, where libname is the name of the library without the 'lib' at the beginning, eg. -lGL for libGL.
