Linux Mailer Script

I have a friend that send out mass
emails using linux but he couldn't
tell me how it's been done, i tried
many ways to ask him but still can't
tell me, here is my question....

1. Any script for sending mass HTML letters from linux
2. Does i need something like putty or dedicated servers
3. how to use the whole server as mail server and send from main user

It all depends, you need to give more details,

1. Any script for sending mass HTML letters from linux

That would depend on what version/distro of linux, and there are even scripts for unix too.

2. Does i need something like putty or dedicated servers

Not really, it will help though if you learn to write better.

3. how to use the whole server as mail server and send from main user

Not sure here , it does not make sense to me, but you can get a lot of information if
you copy and paste the question "how to use the whole server as mail server and send from main user ? " paste it into your favorite search engine.
Why do you need or want to be sending mass html letters to people ? This is important
because it might be better to set up a "mailing list" server . So it all depends on
different things.
