Eric is a nice python IDE, very suitable for PyQt IMO.
Code: Select all
apt-get install eric

Others have great things to say about 'Stani's Python Editor'. Personally I'm no big fan...
Code: Select all
apt-get install spe

Of course, despite all their buttons and built in functions, they don't even come close to Kate ;)

Have a look at Komodo: http://www.activestate.com/products/komodo_ide/

If you don't want to shell out for the IDE, the Edit portion is free.
