Newbee: Gtk+ and Glade

Postby Marcux » 2007-03-10 21:14

Hi all!
I have just started to look at Gtk+
I read the tutorial at gtk and wrote the lovley "Hello World".
When I tried to compile I got loads of error messages and figured out that gtk libraries are missing.
Is this package available in Synaptic Package Manager?
And if so, What is the package called?
My next thought was to install Glade-gnome.
It installed and worked fine, but I thought that I would have had the gtk libraries "for free" but apparently not, as I get the same error when compileing.
So, how to install the missing libraries?

Many thanks
