Please explain exactly what you tried and how it failed. Otherwise, nobody can help.
The MX Linux repositories: Backports galore! If we don't have something, just ask and we'll try--we like challenges. New packages: AzPainter 2.0.4, Pale Moon 27.2.1, Liquorix kernel 4.10-2, mpv 0.24, Kodi 17.1, Ksnip 1.3.1, Mesa 13.0.6

If you want to record audio signals via a microphone be aware the pc's signal to noise ratio is far from satisfactory. To avoid having too much noise, you can use a signal amplifier with a very good signal to noise ratio which allows you to keep the computer's gain low, effectively minimising noise.

The worst infection of all, is a false sense of security!
It is hard to get away from CLI tools.
