Hello there,
I'm using debian-9. I'm a java developer. Recently oracle officially released oracle jdk 9 officially and before that openjdk-9 has been released. I'm using openjdk-9 by downloading it from download.java.net/java/GA/jdk9/9/binaries/openjdk-9_linux-x64_bin.tar.gz . I searched openjdk in debian software repository but I found openjdk-8 there. It's sometime painful for checking new updates from official sites and again downloading them and using them. Is there any other option to do so? Yes I know it can be done by some third party ppa but I don't want to use any ppa. Do anyone know if there have any chance to add openjdk-9 in debian's official software repository? As far I know openjdk-9 is stable enough and well tested. So if anyone know that then please let me know.
Thank you.
