Obtain the internal (NAT) IP address from console as a user?

I am familiar with ifconfig as root but I have to admit I'm not sure how get the (internal/NAT) ip address of the localhost as a user (without sudo) but I would be very happy to learn this.

Any takers? :D

/sbin/ifconfig
