Hey all.
What command do I use to mount a USB drive or a digital USB camera? I imagine they'd use a similar command.
Cheers.

To mount my usb drive I just become root and then type (Note: I created the directory /mnt/sda1)
As far as the digital camera, I dont have any experience with that.
Code: Select all
mount /dev/sda1 /mnt/sda1
As far as the digital camera, I dont have any experience with that.
Hi,
Just have a look at the 'USB digital camera' posting on the Debian forum, and probably you will find your answers :

It totally depends on how your camera interfaces with the OS. For example I had a Fuji S5000 that I could mount as a USB Mass Storage device. I have a Canon 350D for which I need to use gtkam as the camera uses its own interfacing protocols.
Or you could just buy a multi-card reader and you will always be able to mount any card as USB mass storage....

I just plug them in and they show up. Sometimes (or maybe always) an icon shows up on the desktop. If not, look in /mnt and /media.
