My Sidux installation, running fluxbox.

GTK theme: aud-Default
Fluxbox theme: antiX
Conky config: by anticapitalista, with minor changes
Background: something i found on deviant art
Terminal: urxvt

I have two semi-transparent urxvts running, each with a separate screen session, and the one on the right is a screen session tunneling through ssh with my desktop. I use dmenu for my run box.

I did for many years, but last year I switched to Openbox. It is very similar but easier to configure.
I've tried openbox. In fact, I made themes for it that are in the debian pkg for openbox-themes. Openbox is alright but I still prefer fluxbox.

This is Fluxbox with some style basically having all alpha set to 0. Several
xfce4-terminals are open, one is running mocp and is shaded, the other FDclone,
a file manager that I don't dig yet :) and the 3rd is running
scrot to take a screenshot.

Image

This is also Fluxbox with the Blueo style, basically my blue version of Jello.
Thunar is displaying thumbnails of music albums made with the Avatar-Factory script.

Dear friends,
Excuse me, i don't know how to bring the knapshot of my screenshoot here.
My Desktop is KDE. It came with a wallpaper very nyce, but I fill that very heavy (photographic, 3D), and thus I installed a picture of Van Gogh: Going to the work.
At the login manager, I installed "The Yellow House".
I could not yet install an wallpaper at the fluxbox, which I intend to configure also.
Oportunely, I will try again to bring the image of the screenshoot here.
Greetings.[/img]

Here's my Gnome desktop;) Im trying out XFCE, but my CPU usage seems to be about the same between the two, so I can't really feel any difference of speed between the two. I'll likely just run Gnome and Fluxbox--when I get a bit more of understand of it.

Here's the clean one, with my other wall...

I use moc as my music player, so the last part

Code: Select all

Trenutno svira: ${color} ${exec ~/.bin/mocp-conky}
accesses a script which reads info from moc and outputs
the currently playing song. Here is the mocp-script:

Code: Select all

#!/bin/sh

INFO=`mocp --info`

if [ "$INFO" == "State: STOP" ];
 then

 echo -n ""

 else

 ARTIST=`mocp --info | grep Artist | cut -f2 -d :`
 TITLE=`mocp --info | grep SongTitle | cut -f2 -d :`

 expr substr "$ARTIST - $TITLE" 1 42

fi
For other players see:

Code: Select all

/usr/share/doc/conky/docs.html
or search the forums, many post their .conkyrc on the boards.
