INSTALL DISKS?

What disks do I need to install a basic system with these programs.
kde
apt
ndiswrapper
synaptic

If the computer is internet connected you only need the business card installer. Otherwise http://haydn.debian.org/~ftlerror-guest/list.txt contains a full list on what's on each cd, (which may be a bit hard to use as something like kde has a lot of dependencies, but then again packags are sorted by popularity so they should be grouped together).

Personally, since you obviously know what you want, I'd recomend the net-install: http://www.debian.org/distrib/netinst

The first CD will most likely be enough for most people. If you need more later you can always add extra CD's of course, but if you want to be sure take CD's 1-3 and you can install all those things for sure.
