Hello all!
I have a question, how can I bring .wmv and .wma files to work in vlc?
Thanks for the answers.

.wmv .wma
if you download this http://www1.mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer/releas ... 12.tar.bz2
and extract it in /usr/lib/win32 you can play wmv and wma with Mplayer, Totem and Noatun
I don't know about VLC because i've never used it but i suppose this should work also with it

Yes there is. And, as you say... it's probably illegal but the jury is still out on that one I think. Some say that if you have a legal windows licence it's ok, some say 'no way'...ajdlinux wrote:... ...
Isn't there a w32codecs package in marillat's apt repo?

Anyway, for those that don't care about the legal stuff, Marillat's repo is:
Tina# MARILLAT NON-FREE
