Lenny smbclient not installed but can access samba share

Hi,

How come I can acces samba share, and windows workgroup computer and dont have any samba package installed?

says not installed.

I'm going to hazard a guess that you have libsmbclient installed along with a client that can make use of libsmbclient.

Search for libsmbclient. If it is installed then:

aptitude why libsmbclient

To see what package installed it.
