and the darker blue background is probably worse when it comes to the text

Yep, with the larger text, the difference is more noticeable. I can see the difference with the smaller text, too, but either way it's not a problem here, fortunately. Whatever, hope it gets fixed for you folks.

The viewing problems be noted by many seem to single out a color problem.
About 8%-10% of Males suffer some color Blindness but only about 1%-2% of females.
...So, do the User settings have a method, as many forums do, for the users to set their colors?
This could solve the issue.

Yeah, There is
User Control Panel > Edit Global Settings > My Board Style
...lots of Colors and Styles.

Do any of them reduce the Viewing Problem.. :?:

How do you substitute the swirl logo for the olive branch in the heading?

Joel, although I can't vouch for them, there are Firefox add-ons for that.

As I indicated, I don't use them so I can't recommend any specifically. On the Mozilla add-on site, search under image and replace.
