screenshots on the Desktop in LXDE

#1 Post by cc »

hi

I've Debian Wheezy with LXDE.
Howto configure, for example scrot, pressing "Print Screen" button from the keyboard to get screenshots on the Desktop instead of user home directory?

So if I'm reading this right, you have scrot working with 'PrtSc', just not placing the image where you want it ..... ?

You can use scrot's '-e' option, add it to your command string, like in this example:

Code: Select all

scrot '%Y-%m-%d--%s_$wx$h_scrot.png' -e 'mv $f ~/Desktop'
