it would be cool for the forum to display a poster's OS and browser info (like in fedora forums):

So we can tell who is posting from Win? :lol: LQ does that as well but I am not so sure it is an added value here. I have seen such info inspire many flamewars.

It does not bother me, but the truly "cynical" might consider displaying such information a violation of privacy.

You might be posting using tor - so it's pointless...

You might be posting from your workplace using windows - also pointless...

Knowing what OS someone is using at a given time - is pointless...

That is what I was thinking. Why do they care. Perhaps you don't have net at home and use library. Endless possibilities and it doesn't matter to begin with. :|
