Why do you use both the 486 and and 686-pae kernels?

Use Code tags instead of Quote ones.

Assuming that your sources list is correct, do the basics

Code: Select all

# aptitude clean
# rm -r /var/lib/apt/lists/*
# aptitude update
Post the outputs of the following commands

Code: Select all

lsb_release --all
apt-cache policy
dpkg --audit
aptitude --simulate full-upgrade
apt-get --simulate --fix-broken dist-upgrade

Well, I am sorry to hear that you need to buy new RAM. I am not surprised, though; there goes the Chinese quality control.

Please, edit your last message and use an image hosting service that provides thumbnails, like http://imgur.com/, or simple paste the link to the image, so that not everyone is forced to download a big image every time they visit this thread.

If you have two stick of RAM, try removing one at a time and running memtest again for each one...

If both fail, it's likely to be the memory configuration (BIOS setup) that's the problem rather than the RAM itself.

The chinese has good quality according to the price.
