Cannot logon

Help with issues regarding installation of Debian

Cannot logon

I just installed Debian using the windows installer. I never remember creating a user, however, i get to login screen and it asks for one. help! how do i log in?

username is root and do you remember creating an adminstrator password which would be for root?

Once logged in as root, you can create a nornal user account.

i tried loging on as root. it says i cannot logon as root.

I figured it out. You have to allow it to let you log on as root first. not automatic. this is gonna stump alot of users.

I should think logging in as root would come naturally to most windows users :wink:

Did you use this?

If so, basically it sets up the system to launch the debian installer, and from then on installation proceeds more or less as usual.

The developer has provided links to the Debian installation guide: "more details about it"
