kidding aside:

As you say, alternative init systems like runit, cinit, openrc aren't trivial to implement in Arch, so people generally leave Arch for another distro if they're unhappy with systemd.

Just to clarify, antiX-svsVinit has libsystemd0 (for the moment, hope to get rid of it)

Added: Got rid of it so antiX-14/15 sysvinit will be 99% systemd free (only udev remains)

I don't understand the second sentence (neither why any distro with busybox would *not* come with systemd, nor now to know in advance if a distro comes with busybox. Or, truth to be told, what exactly busybox is. Looked always to me like a pretty minimal shell environment, which . used if something goes south during boot, which,as far it's me, was pretty much never)

I didn't add puppy linux, because to me it looked abandoned. If i shall add it, iow: if it makes sense to add it, i will do.
It is not supposed to be a list of distros or OS i like or prefer. Just a list for people who want to avoid systemd.
But it is also supposed to make sense (no outstanding obscure solutions, say Windows7, and no distros out of date, abandoned)

I don't think Puppy has been abandoned. However, it is not a "normal" distro -- in Puppy you are always root. Personally, I'd use it as a live CD only.

I recall something when i tried to put putty on raspberry pi. Perhaps me recalling "abandon" is related to that. I checked at wikipedia, the last release is quite a while ago, but that's all i can figure out.
What i can say about putty is that it ran on pretty any hardware i tried (where other distros failed. antiX always was quite reliable too). I never used it for something serious though.
