As a consumer of the Debian OS, I have the privilege to feel and touch a pieces of your work every day.

I 'm sorry to read you left us that way :(

Your legacy will live forever, the work started by you will always continue from brothers and sisters of this huge Debian house.

Thank you for your wisdom heart and for creating Debian my 2'nd virtual home.

Respect Ian, you will remember forever.

Thank you for redirection.
I never thought they change the leader annually.
This might answered the deep relationship between Toy Story - Debian that I've been looking for as well.

Maybe I still can't get away from dancing on RTFM palm.

If you look here https://www.debian.org/doc/manuals/proj ... es.en.html

for the Debian 1.1 release it mentions
Debian 1.1 Buzz (June 17th, 1996): This was the first Debian release with a code name. It was taken, like all others so far, from a character in one of the Toy Story movies... in this case, Buzz Lightyear. By this time, Bruce Perens had taken over leadership of the Project from Ian Murdock, and Bruce was working at Pixar, the company that produced the movies
