Cairo-dock weather applet

Hi guys!
I have Trusty 14.04 lts xfce.
Up and till a couple of months back I had a cairo-dock weather applet that worked....but no I just have a useless icon...;)
I have looked at different threads but there is always information lacking....?

Does anyone have a fix for this?

No matter what the distro, older weather applets often break as the information providers change their API or go out of business. The solution is to try and update the applet to a working version, usually by backporting.
