[SOLVED] Steam game not starting

Hi all, I have the same problem: I can run steam normally, but when I select a game, it does not start. It appears a window, but immediately disappear, so I cannot read its content.

Here is what happens when I run steam in the terminal:

I tried to launch the two games I bought (Mini Metro and Ibb & obb), neither of the two works, even if I used to play these two games a lot a few months ago.

I had some problem launching steam before, but I solved them following the guide in this page. Now steam launches correctly but the game don't.

Your steam script seems to be launching steam from ~/.local instead of
~./steam. The script from the debian package won't do this.
Did you install the stretch version?
https://packages.debian.org/stretch/steam

Your error ouput says ":Failed to init SteamVR because it isn't installed" and I don't know the reason, have you tried to find out what steamVR is? and why you get this error?

Yes it is a steam feature that try to emulate an Ubuntu environment. It is explained here:
Steam ships with its own versions of some libraries (the "Steam Runtime") in an attempt to emulate the Ubuntu 12.04 environment in later versions of Ubuntu.

However, some core libraries included in the Steam Runtime will often conflict with the newer versions of other libraries included in Debian (such as drivers, and specifically the open-source ATI driver).
As I said in the first post, it caused some problem a few time ago, so I had to follow a guide in that page to solve them. Now steam starts but games do not.

I checked: I had the package steam-launcher installed, now I installed the steam package from non-free and everithing works.
