Is it possible to completely reset Keyring master password?

#1 Post by scootr »

Hey guys, new debian user here. I'm running stretch stable, with lxde. When prompted to set up a keyring master password for the first time, it looks like i've hit a wrong key (hit the same wrong key on confirmation too?) but anyway, the password that i know should be correct is wrong. I tried following ubuntu advice about deleting the default.keyring files in /.gnome/keyring, but that doesn't seem to apply in this distro/desktop environment.

Any help on how to start again with keyring would be great, cheers.

Nevermind, I found the file.

In case any fellow noobs are curious, deleting 'Default_keyring.keyring' in ~/.local/share/keryrings does the trick, press ctrl+h to show hidden folders and files if you cant see the .local folder.
