[solved] ibus: Question about bug reporting

#1 Post by user2635 »

Sorry guys, I'm confused where to post this bug as it could relate to the package (ibus), KDE, my graphics driver or debian itself so I don't really know where to post it.

On Chinese input (ibus), the first entry shows up as black as shows here:
https://share.riseup.net/#HvzFyNpIG7x2yaHawAgSqA

Can someone direct me to post to the right place so I contact the right people?

What package does your bug report belong to?

You need to know what package your bug report should be filed against. See this example for information on how to find this information. (You will use this information to see if your bug report has been filed already.)

So do you mean regardless of the package, I should report to Debian directly (not the package developers) and the debian devs will deal with it accordingly?

Thanks, I found my answer on the wiki page:
Don't file bugs upstream

If you file a bug in Debian, don't send a copy to the upstream software maintainers yourself, as it is possible that the bug exists only in Debian. If necessary, the maintainer of the package will forward the bug upstream.
It's now reported on debian:
