system says no space left on the disk, while being empty

#1 Post by AoiHana »

Hello.

I've the last debian version, my personal files are almost empty, I've got close to no music nor film on my disk, no image nor books, yet, I'm being said the disk (of 1 To) is full, which is nonsensical. Two weeks ago, there was plenty of books, musics and films, but I transfered a part and ditched the rest, I also removed my username and created a new one, which worked better, but the message about the disk being stayed, and since this morning, X can't work if I don't log with root. And still, I have "E: Pas assez d'espace disponible sur /var/cache/apt/archives/" (meaning no space left on /var/etcetera...).
Also, I've got few applications installed, I am sure it's not that.

To sum it up: I should reinstall everything, shall I ?

And

Code: Select all

df -hi
Kernel headers can really eat up inodes, you do not have too many kernel headers installed?
