I'm trying to get a DVD burned with the new Debian.

Ask for help with issues regarding the Installations of the Debian O/S.

If you don't want to provide anything we can use to help, but instead whine about how you're being mistreated and boast how long you've been using Ubunutu, fine. Here's some sand. Go pound it.

Here's another idiot, my comment "I've have used Linux since Ubuntu 1010, you're Responding with questions that I've explained clearly , or asking me multiple times what program I used to try to burn the cd, I burned them from the command line "

Why? Why not use some GUI program, if you even have a working DE? See, that's the problem, the lack of details. You haven't told us which DE you have, no sources.list provided (asked for multiple times) and still you refuse to say which command exactly you used to burn the frisbees. I say that is not a really constructive approach on your end, and that is the only reason why you're treated like this.

Real, honest advice? Avoid Debian for now and install Ubuntu, Mint or even Windows. Debian is not for you...yet.

You don't get this, I was done with this ten comments back when I said enough is enough. There are people here that are willing to help, I'm simply tired of the assholes that you have to maneuver through to get to that help. I will look for what I need someplace else and I can just about guarantee that I won't have to go through this crap.To the people that were willing thanks to the people that decided to grind their daily ax here bight me..

Looks good.
Wow, thanks for the help, that was amazing. haven't run it yet but I'll let you know when I do , Thanks alot.
This is as close as I've ever got to a clean install , I'm having problems with text , I Type it in and it takes a while to appear on the screen, I've seen this before on burns of different distro's . Also your (ls -l /media/cdrom0) =934 is this number verifying the burn. If so how would I then verify the distro on the hard drive.

The number 934 (from the output of ls -l /media/cdrom0) is the total number of blocks allocated to the files in that directory.

If you want to verify your installation disk you should run the checksum and compare it to the checksum from the download location.

For example:
You can find the checksums at the location of the complete installation image files. https://cdimage.debian.org/debian-cd/cu ... 64/bt-dvd/ Of course, you would need the checksum for the exact image you downloaded.

Then run the checksum of your burned CD or DVD and compare.

Also, some good information at "Verifying authenticity."

As far as I know, you can't verify your hard drive after installation. But, you can check and verify the disk you used to install from.
