debian installer failed to detect hard disk on ASUS laptop

I am using debian 9.2 install DVD to install debian on my ASUS P45 VJ laptop, I used Rufus to make a bootable media.
The image file which I used was: firmware-9.2.1-amd64-DVD-1.iso.
However, debian install DVD failed to detect my hard disk during installation.
But if I press Ctrl+Alt+F2 to switch to a console, I can use fdisk to see my hard disk.
What's the reason that the installer cannot detect my hard disk?
Any help will be appreciated.

Maybe your laptop is not supported hardware, But who knows you don't even bother to mention what kind of Laptop, and there are literally 1000s,...

One point to say, the result of detecting network hardware says:

The missing firmware files are:  iwlwifi-6000g2b-6.ucode."

It asked me 'yes' or 'no' to load missing firmware from removable media, I don't have iwlwifi-6000g2b-6.ucode, so I choose 'no'. But the loss of wifi firmware may not be related to the my problem of hard disk.

The result of detecting hard disk says:

and then a list of all kinds of drivers such as 3w-9xxx, 3w-sas, BusLogi, etc.
If I choose one such as 3w-9xxx, It returned to the page saying "No disk drive was detected" again.

I am not much of a tech, so can't help there, but now others that are more
tech oriented should be able to.
I do know we have quite of few threads, where people using Asus hardware
had problems, and they were able to solve the problems, in most cases.
