Using Linux from 1998, but brand new to Debian :-)

Its customary to post your desktop here when you join the forums.

Welcome! I don't know anyone here who can say with confidence that they are a "Debian guru" (without lying to themselves). We are all here to learn and enjoy the distro we love.

What about X and a window manager? Surely he's not running entirely from the CLI for a desktop system.

Actually with programs like mplayer and links2, I don't see the need for X too much anyway.
