Good morning everyone, this is my first post and I didn't find a general greeting topic for new users, so I decided to do it here, asking my first question.
Both on my laptop and my home workstation (respectively with Debian stable and testing, both with Xfce, they don't have any Bluetooth hardware), I can browse my phone (LG Leon) with Thunar connecting it with a simple usb cable, but if I try to detect it under Gammu/Wammu using the same cable they fail, both if the device is mounted or not.
Is there a way to make them detect by usb cable?
In case of using a usb Bluetooth dongle, how can I make it keep the connection indefinitely?
Thank you very much

Re: Gammu/Wammu
Currently supported phones include:
* Many Nokia models.
* Alcatel BE5 (501/701), BF5 (715), BH4 (535/735).
* AT capable phones (Siemens, Nokia, Alcatel, IPAQ).
* OBEX and IrMC capable phones (Sony-Ericsson, Motorola).
* Symbian phones through gnapplet.
If you installed from the Debian repository, your LG phone may not be supported.
https://wammu.eu/docs/manual/faq/phone. ... -supported
has several lists of which types of phones are supported. I couldn't find LG there.

Re: Gammu/Wammu
I knew of that page, but there are others:
https://wammu.eu/phones/
https://wammu.eu/phones/lg/
These are the Lg phones supported, mine is not there, but the LG page seems to encourage to try.
I tried with a usb bluetooth dongle too, no results.
Since my phone is out of warranty I'd like to try to root it, do you know where can I get informations about it?
I don't only want to unlock it, I want to change everything and use it as a 'cavy'.
I'm ready to buy a new one, of course

Better to be quiet and seem stupid, rather than talk and remove any doubt
