debiman wrote:^ i always enjoy looking at your screenshots.
very nice setup, fonts in deadbeef (*), matching colours etc.
but, desktop icons with a tiling wm? heresy!

(*) wow, i didn't know deadbeef is capable of such colourful listings!
Thanks mate ohnonot, Same for your configs.
For quite some time i am using two Ubuntu fonts. "Ubuntu-C", "Ubuntu-R" on a GUI dialogs. A good gift from Ubuntu, also monaco-font helps in some other tasks.

Really first time checking "Desktop" from SpaceFM settings, bee using this FM for a while, but never looked at this fature.Eh No, i'll not use any longer those shortcuts, just doesn't fit for hlwm. However, I was pleased checking anyway :)

Regarding DeaDBeeF colors, enough to right-click on headers-column to edit colors text on the playlist.
While other colors found on Appearance are helpful too.

Thanks again for your kind words :)
Best regards!

Desktop shortcuts removed, substituted place to the bottom panel (dzen2). Clean desktop is better.

Of course the change is obvious, but each has its own goals and achievements, Ofcourse Arch-guru's know how to make super-lighter,
Oh yes, they're too experts to do it Well-optimized :) but their goals on users or usages are different, this is how i see it.

However, a door is left always open for us to make some things ourself.
Once again congrat for your achievement :)

I've dropped -current and reverted to release/stable, using openup to do all the updates/patching (pre built, so quick/easy).
pkg_add similar to apt-get
openup somewhat comparable to running apt-get update;apt-get upgrade.

Yes indeed, M:Tier provide a sterling service to the community :)

I do like the new toys that -current provides though, testing new features is fun.

EDIT: BunsenLabs Helium alpha (openbox + tint2) running in Alpine Linux (dwm) to stay on topic:

I might be switching over to Solus, gave it a try and totally love it.
Literally everything works, 0 complications, and it looks very nice out of the box, even fonts look amazing.

Using Solus as one's main OS... I wouldn't recommend it, but for different reasons than None: it's essentially a one-man project and has already been abandoned once before. There are much more reliable systems out there to use.

Anyway, my latest Slackware setup:
