Today I did "apt upgrade" and it installed/updated following packages (from /var/log/apt/history.log):
After restart the XFCE hangs after login.Start-Date: 2018-05-08 16:43:57
Commandline: apt upgrade

I tried with root account (which I enabled) with the same result.
If I open a terminal CTRL+ALT+F2 and when I enter username and start entering password it suddenly switches back to my XFCE and drops me to my Desktop with no problems. Now, if I go to "Suspend" and back, I have no problems logging in.
I use Debian on my T420 laptop.
I was thinking to switch back to last know good packages, but I would first like to know if I can use upgrades without problems.
Edit: If I go to my old kernel (4.9+80+deb9u2) from Advanced GRUB menu, everything works just fine!
Any help is most welcome!
Thanks in advance!
