No You tube sound

#1 Post by Tupeelo »

Hello,

Just did a fresh lxde install of version 9.5, I have no sound on the web, but saved mp3's and videos work. I have tried pauv audio control & alsa mixer to no avail.

I am using usb speakers. Pauv has all the speakers muted ? I am in the audio group. Hardware is working.

Any suggestions.

Missing information:

Browser used.
Right-click on Youtube video/stats for nerds/copypaste those stats here.
Did you try any of the other browser choices to see if sound worked there? (Google Chrome includes the most codecs preinstalled)

Well, good luck, wherever that is. If you don't want to answer some simple, well-intentioned questions, it's hard to provide you with any help. I don't think that Debian will change much in the meantime.
