Hello,
I am a pretty new but enthusiastic Linux user. I run a Debian Linux (4.9.0-8-amd64) with xfce Desktop environment. The system is running fine, but.... I have installed a program called Enpass ( a password manager which synchronizes with my iPad and my cellphone) via Synaptic Package Manager. I have first installed the Beta-version, before I switched to the stable version. Whatsoever, when I removed the Beta-Version, the program left an entry in the xfce application menu. A click produces the following message "Failed to execute command "/opt/enpass-beta/Enpass6 %U". "Failed to execute child process "/opt/enpass-beta/Enpass6" (No such file or directory)" And I can't delete the menu entry. I searched on Google for the last two weeks without any success. All I found is the tip that I should use a menu manager like Alacarte. But the menu entry isn't there. I can see it in the menu, but not in the menu manager. I don't think that it is an Enpass related problem because I have the same issue with the Bacula Administration Tool on. This problem is not affecting the use of the system. It's just annoying to have redundant entries and that I can't figure it out. If anyone has a clue how I can fix it, that would be really appreciated.
Thx in advance
Steph

Do you see them in .local/share/applications in your home folder?
If not, try searching all your files--one way is to install mlocate, run "updatedb" as root or with sudo, and then

FWIW I have had excellent results using MenuLibre in Stretch/XFCE although I can't say for sure it would have fixed this exact problem.
