Re: Problem with driver NVIDIA GTX970M
Isn't that an Optimus laptop with switchable GPUs that you should use with Bumblebee? (see Debian wiki and use the bumblebee-nividia method.) Currently I think you have to use "optirun" in front of commands to switch to the Nvidia GPU instead of "primusrun".

If you don't provide any more information about this "same thing" or exactly what you did to break your GUI in the first place, nobody can help you.valonc wrote:i was tried and with bumblebee, it is same thing.

Was your laptop working before?
Do you have firmware-misc-nonfree installed for the Intel hardware?
Is the integrated Intel GPU enabled or disabled in the "BIOS"?
When you install bumblebee-nvidia in the terminal, please copy and paste the output of the commands here inside code tags. Too many users get driver build failures but never notice them. Also install inxi and provide the output of

Re: Problem with driver NVIDIA GTX970M
OK, have you installed followed the wiki to install bumblebee-nvidia and the rest of the packages yet?
https://wiki.debian.org/Bumblebee
If not, enable the contrib and non-free repositories and show the complete output in code tags of
(or as root if you don't have sudo)
For what it's worth, I just built keyboardvisualiser packages for my MSI GP63, so now I have my keyboard changing colors and flashing in sync with the bass line in the music I'm listening to, if you want to give that a try: https://forum.mxlinux.org/viewtopic.php?f=134&t=48977
I built the packages on generic Stretch in pbuilder, so they are compatible. You can see the settings I have in the gif (and the font problem)

Re: Problem with driver NVIDIA GTX970M
Can't help much if you don't copy and paste the text in the terminal that results from that command like I asked.
Of course, over on Stretch-based MX Linux, we have an Nvidia Driver Installer that detects Optimus systems and (we hope) sets up bumblebee-nvidia for you automatically, if you want to give that a try.
