Failed to take snapper snappshot on root on boot.

Failed to take snapper snappshot on root on boot. See 'Systemctl status snapper-boot.service'. What means this error, and how to fix it? ( Debian 9.8 )

It means run the command

Code: Select all

systemctl status snapper-boot.service
The output will give you some clues as to how to fix it.

Also try

Code: Select all

journalctl -u snapper-boot
deadbang

Code: Select all

# snapper -c jgmyline create-config /
Reference: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Snapper

Please use code tags rather than quote tags when posting terminal output.

You can avoid Google Translate by prepending the command with LC_ALL=C to make it speak English, like this:

Code: Select all

LC_ALL=C journalctl -u snapper-boot
deadbang

1. snapper -c jgmyline create-config /= Erstellen der Konfigurationsdatei ist fehlgeschlagen (/sbin/chsnap not installed).

2. LC_ALL=C journalctl -u snapper-boot = -- No entries --

Looks like that may be a bug, please report it.
