VLC has been and will always be like a bag full of bugs. I recommend you try and use Smplayer.

I've tried to explain how to you, but you haven't tried it yet. Please read the part about va-api acceleration for VLC and mpv. I can play even 4K videos on my laptop with 1% extra CPU use (though it's quite a powerful CPU anyway, I also have it working on a less powerful Skylake i5-6200u system).

SMPlayer does have many more features than the rather plain gnome-mpv. I also have a player in my repo called mpc-qt, which uses mpv's libmpv1 engine for playback, and also has many bells and whistles. But if you ignore me again, go pound sand.

well guys thanks for your aid ... i changed this : opengl for embedded systems 2 video output and it fixed it
