Ive found out an OCR software able to read propertly curved photo-scanned pages.. do we have any tool (preprocessing plugin) for be able to read curved text?
The Android App is named , SmartLens and here you can seee the scanning result (you only get three pro-scans for free daily).:

I found out about ScanTailors app. for Dewarping feature to flatten the page:

not sure if any software suite with a GUI exists for text scans. However, the standard
image manipulation toolsets used in computer vision can probably do all of these things.
For example, in openCV you can preprocess images using things like background subtraction,
noise reduction with various kernels, morphological manipulations and so on before you pass
it to the OCR.

I have been using gscan2pdf recently but have not really tested the OCR side of it too much but it is a GUI which might be worth looking at.
