Well, maybe you are not a bot, maybe you are, but in any event :
"If you also need the contrib and non-free components, add contrib non-free after main."
Is quite clear, and any attempt to change the wording, would also change the meaning, I gave you links to examples, also tried my best to explain it, and yet you still can not understand it. The only other thing I know of, is for you show us your actual /etc/apt/sources.list file, please use code boxes when you post it.
Then someone can edit it for you, and all you will need to do is copy/paste it back into your /etc/apt folder, using the same name "sources.list" for the file,..
hack3rcon wrote:Thank you, but I want to know if my source.list file is like below:
- Code: Select all
deb http://deb.debian.org/debian buster main contrib non-free
deb-src http://deb.debian.org/debian buster main contrib non-free
deb http://deb.debian.org/debian-security/ buster/updates main contrib non-free
deb-src http://deb.debian.org/debian-security/ buster/updates main contrib non-free
deb http://deb.debian.org/debian buster-updates main contrib non-free
deb-src http://deb.debian.org/debian buster-updates main contrib non-free
Then I can't install any program in "contrib" category? If yes, then I must add all components!!!
If that is your sources.list file , it should work, I don't know why you can not install any program in the "contrib" category, in fact to me that does not even make sense. Did you even try that example ? Show us the error messages, if it does not work.
