Hello *,
I make just my lunch and try to setup a Banana PI M1 with Debian 9 and Firefox in Kioskmode...
Does this not more work as it was 12 years ago?
Does anyone has done this before with Debian 9 and can tell me, what I have to do to get this running.
My 13,3" Display is 1920x1080px, I use a Trackball with Numberpad (works like a normal mouse and keypad) and I have also a camera attached.
Thanks in advance
Michelle

Re: How to run Firefox in Kiosk Mode?
Did you used your search engine to find it? I did, and there is plenty of answers and solutions. Let me search that for you:
https://duckduckgo.com/?q=how+to+firefox+kioskmode
Just read first few links you should be able to do it.

Re: How to run Firefox in Kiosk Mode?
But the sugested Extensions like mKiosk, R-Kiosk are not more availlable.
An other extension "Modern Kiosk" refuse to work with Quantum 68.0.1 (64bit).

Re: How to run Firefox in Kiosk Mode?
There is no obvious answers to this kiosk question, and even "duckduckgo" does not know everything especially for Fx 68.
May be you have first to exactly define what you call a kiosk mode.
I believe it is something forced in full-screen will all configurations locked.
I would investigate /chrome/userChrome.css, create a specific kiosk profile, and replace a lot of "pref" values in prefs.js by lockPref
defaultPref - set new default value
pref - set pref, but allow changes in current session
lockPref - lock pref, disallow changes
BTW, this is far to be a specific Debian question.
+ investigate /etc/firefox/firefox.js .

Re: How to run Firefox in Kiosk Mode?
I would prefer a minimal XServer without login/password (shell=/bin/false) + Firefox in fullscreen mode (Kiosk)
If Firefox crash, the XServer would restart anyway...
It seems, with the new Firefox, this is not more possibel as it was 12 years ago, when I have done such things.

P.S.: With the new Firefox, it is not more possibel, to start Firefox from xinit as unprivileged user "nouser:nogroup" and directly into Kiosk-Mode (fullscreen).
