Help solve the problem install Debian 9

#1 Post by KatieXXX »

Hello, please help. On a virtual server, I try to install debian9, sources.list updated, when I try to update, but the update doesn’t go to the end. Because a message appears: Help solve the problem

Code: Select all

apt (1.8.0~alpha3) unstable; urgency=medium

The PATH for running dpkg is now configured by the option DPkg::path,
and defaults to "/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin". Previous behavior of
not changing PATH may be restored by setting the option to an empty string.

Support for /etc/apt/auth.conf.d/ has been added, see apt_auth.conf(5).

apt (1.6~rc1) unstable; urgency=medium

Seccomp sandboxing has been turned off by default for now. If it works
for you, you are encouraged to re-enable it by setting APT::Sandbox::Seccomp
to true.

The massage above is only informative. It is not message about error.
It says to you, which changes was made to updated package apt...

Hello and welcome to Debian User Forums for people who use Debian.

When your sources list only accesses Kali Linux and not Debian why not ask Kali Linux Forums instead? https://forums.kali.org/

I've never tried Kali Linux but even if most packages are based on Debian sid, it is unlikely to be compatible with old stable Debian 9. Mixing with higher version packages from third-party repositories can easily result in an unstable if not broken system.
DebianStable

Code: Select all

$ vrms

No non-free or contrib packages installed on debian! rms would be proud.

The words "Kali" and "install" go together about as well as Stretch and Sid repositories.

If you don't know what I mean by that, you're really not one of Kali's targeted users (Linux and Debian security experts), and the moderators at the Kali forum will simply discard your post, like they do hundreds of other irrelevant ones.

Sound like they have some good moderators over there, maybe a example that
