bind9 problem on debian 8 upgrade

#1 Post by kmchen »

Hi,

upgrading a debian 8 web server (preparing to 9 migration, we are at 10 now I know), all packets upgraded succesfully but two:

apt-get -s upgrade
Lecture des listes de paquets… Fait
Construction de l’arbre des dépendances
Lecture des informations d’état… Fait
Calcul de la mise à jour… Fait
0 mis à jour, 0 nouvellement installés, 0 à enlever et 0 non mis à jour.
2 partiellement installés ou enlevés.
Conf bind9 (1:9.9.5.dfsg-9+deb8u18 Debian-Security:8/oldoldstable [amd64])
Conf libapache2-mod-passenger (4.0.53-1+deb8u1 Debian-Security:8/oldoldstable [amd64])

Apache seems to continue to run OK but bind stopped

service apache2 status
[ ok ] apache2 is running.

service bind9 restart
[…] Stopping domain name service…: bind9rndc: connect failed: 127.0.0.1#953: connection refused
. ok
[FAIL] Starting domain name service…: bind9 failed!

Nothing in syslog

Any help apreciated

I do not know, but
bugs.debian.org #762501 bind9rndc: connect failed: 127.0.0.1#953: connection refused says about permission to /etc/bind/rdnc.key file,
bugs.debian.org: #894000 bind9rndc: connect failed: 127.0.0.1#953: connection refused says about permission to /var/cache/bind directory.
It should be mentioned in /var/log/syslog.
