During installation some non-os-packages were missing, I was able to find the aetheros-component but skipped the other.
I end up with those screens on startup:
I tried adding pci=noaer or pci=nomsi or pci=nommconf, as I read in similar issues, but none of those worked.
And I've got another issue: If the battery is drained, the bios is reset and I can't boot anymore unless I manually deactivate UEFI and reselect grub64.efi.
Scheduled Maintenance: We are aware of an issue with Google, AOL, and Yahoo services as email providers which are blocking new registrations. We are trying to fix the issue and we have several internal and external support tickets in process to resolve the issue. Please see: viewtopic.php?t=158230

Try to install this to start and clarify:
firmware-amd-graphics
firmware-atheros
firmware-linux-nonfree
+ looks like you need some BIOS adjustments.
+ did you try pci=noapic kernel boot option ?

Copy grubx64.efi to $ESP/EFI/BOOT/bootx64.efi to enable your system to boot even when the NVRAM entries are lost.

Thank you guys, starting now.
And it happens often, because it seems that the laptop is not going to suspend as expected. Any ideas on that?
I did this, but I still need to change UEFI to 'disabled' every time this happens.Head_on_a_Stick wrote:Copy grubx64.efi to $ESP/EFI/BOOT/bootx64.efi to enable your system to boot even when the NVRAM entries are lost.

Disabling UEFI then selecting grubx64.efi to boot makes no sense at all.
Try a newer kernel version, see my [FAQ] in the HowTo section for details.justmee wrote:it seems that the laptop is not going to suspend as expected. Any ideas on that?

My USB stick isn't detected if UEFI is enabled, that's why I needed to disable it.Head_on_a_Stick wrote:Disabling UEFI then selecting grubx64.efi to boot makes no sense at all.
The newer kernel fixed it, thanks.Try a newer kernel version, see my [FAQ] in the HowTo section for details.justmee wrote:it seems that the laptop is not going to suspend as expected. Any ideas on that?
