Can you install inxi and report the result of "inxi -Gxx" in the terminal?

I have a laptop with sorta the same hardware, but it uses the Intel GPU by default instead of the Nvidia:

Code: Select all

$ inxi -G
Graphics: Device-1: Intel UHD Graphics 630 driver: i915 v: kernel
           Device-2: NVIDIA GP107M [GeForce GTX 1050 Ti Mobile] driver: N/A
           Display: x11 server: X.Org 1.20.4 driver: intel resolution: 1920x1080~60Hz
           OpenGL: renderer: Mesa DRI Intel UHD Graphics 630 (Coffeelake 3x8 GT2) v: 4.5 Mesa 18.3.6
Is the video jerky, or instead affected by "tearing"? There's a fix you can apply if it's tearing with the Nvidia driver...

Also, what video player are you using? Is it Youtube in a browser, or a local video file in a player, and if so, what player? There's quite a few available, and not all are in Debian's repos.

You also might try a light desktop like xfce alongside the heavy GNOME, which should only take a minute to install, and see what videos look like there instead of GNOME. You should have a choice of what desktop to start from your login screen after xfce is installed.

i tried playing the video on other OS and got the sane problem i think it's because the video was coded in 24fps for 30fps video that's why it was jerky.

I was using VLC and the standard one that came with Debian. There were no tearing or glitch just very jerky but i found the problem was with the encoding of mixed fps meaning some part of the videos were in 24 fps and some were 30 fps ....

No problem at all playing youtube videos, just some of my videos that i mixed fps files into one.

Thank you for the reply i am just loving Debian more and more ;)
