Could not resolve host (some host)

#1 Post by swieczkos »

Hi,

I'm using Hetzner cloud. I have Debian 10 installed. I have problem with curl. I've noticed that one host isn't resolved properly. Curl can't access them. It's strange because at leat 10 other hosts are resolved corectly.
/etc/resolve.conf looks like:
nameserver 213.133.98.98
nameserver 213.133.99.99
nameserver 213.133.100.100

When I enter nameserver 8.8.8.8 or 1.1.1.1 at the beginning problem disapears. How is it possible that some hosts are resolved and one isn't?
How to solve it? /etc/resolve.conf is reseted very often.
Have I missed some initial config?

Can you post here which host is not resolving OK?
I don't know if the Hetzner DNS servers can be used from the outside, but it could be tried..
