[Resolved for Now] Mysterious Sound Problem in Debian

I like everything about the testing branch, and would use it (probably the xfce de) if I could resolve a problem with the sound. Every time I install I have very loud popping explosions of sound when loggin in or out, or when accessing any application or website with sound. It is not a constant sound, but rather a loud one-time pop at each instance, then another when I go to a new site, and another when a new video is accessed, or when logging out. This has never happened on Ubuntu, MX-Linux, Xubuntu, Endeavour OS, or Archlabs, but always happens on Debian. My system sound details are:

Device-1: Intel Cannon Lake PCH cAVS
vendor: Dell
driver: snd_hda_intel
v: kernel
bus ID: 00:1f.3
chip ID: 8086:a348
Sound Server: ALSA v: k4.19.0-6-amd64

I have used linux exclusively for 6-7 years, so am not totally clueless, but I am not a technical expert. If anyone has a suggestion/solution I would be grateful. Thanks, in advance,

Ask the interweb for a guide to the systemd journal, or read journalctl(1).

EDIT: this will "follow" the journal and print new entries as they are made:

Yes -- Sorry I was not clearer. Log information from my current setup (MX-Linux) would likely not help to diagnose my problem, since I have no problems in this distro.

Debian doesn't enable persistent logging for the systemd journal so you can only read the contents from Debian (or enable persistent logging then use the strings command to access them from MX).

OK. Understood. I'll have to tackle it from within a Debian environment when/if I decide to reinstall Debian to work on this problem. Thanks.
